Every Custom Home Starts Somewhere
When people imagine building a custom home, they usually picture the finished house. In reality, every project begins long before the walls go up.
We’re excited to share the progress of this custom home currently under construction in Jackson County, Michigan. While this photo may not look like much today, it marks the beginning of what will soon become a beautiful rural homesite.
Before work began on the home, our team completed a 32′ × 48′ pole barn on the property. Finished with Ash Gray metal siding and a Matte Black metal roof, the new building provides valuable storage and workspace during construction while establishing the look of the property. The custom home will continue that design with its own Matte Black standing seam metal roof, creating a cohesive appearance once everything is complete.
Building from the Ground Up
With the pole barn complete, construction has now shifted to the custom home. The foundation has been poured, and the floor system is already beginning to take shape.
While this stage may not seem as dramatic as a finished home, it’s one of the most important milestones in the construction process. Every measurement, every layout, and every detail at this stage helps ensure the rest of the project comes together exactly as planned.
Before long, walls will begin to rise, the roof will be installed, and this foundation will become a home where lasting memories are made.
Follow the Progress
One of the most rewarding parts of building a custom home is watching it come together one step at a time.
We’ll continue sharing updates as this project progresses, from framing and roofing to the finished home. We hope you’ll follow along as another Stoll Construction project takes shape here in Jackson County.
